Your documents. EU only. Read-only.
We ask for access to your company's most sensitive channel — the mailbox. So here, without gloss, is what numerio does, what it doesn't, and what you can verify yourself.
Documents stored in the European Union
Your documents are stored and processed only within the EU: storage, databases, and document extraction alike. Documents and their extraction never leave the EU, and there are no "global" fallbacks. Your mailbox itself stays with your e-mail provider, and payments are handled by Stripe.
Read-only access
Mailboxes connect with least-privilege, read-only access. numerio cannot send, delete or change mail — technically cannot, not just promises to. You can always see what you've allowed.
What we store — and what we don't
We store: invoice originals, the data extracted from them, and the evidence of where each document came from. We don't store: emails without invoices, any "whole mailbox" archive, or any bank credentials — we simply never ask for them. Originals are stored write-once for the 10-year statutory retention period; the Privacy Policy, section 6, has the details.
Credentials
OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and never appear in logs. On disconnect, numerio revokes Gmail access through Google and deletes its stored credential once confirmed. For Outlook, numerio deletes its stored credential and stops reading the mailbox, but cannot confirm revocation at Microsoft. You can also remove the app's access in your Microsoft account or organisation settings.
Errors are loud, not silent
A failed scan or a download that didn't complete never disappears quietly — every failure is visible on the dashboard and can be retried. Interrupted work cannot pretend to be finished.
What we don't do
No bank API connections. No payments. No automatic posting into accounting systems. No accounting or tax decisions without a human. No use of your documents for AI training, ever — and no selling them.
An honesty note
We don't brag about certifications we don't hold. When independent assessments arrive, they'll appear here — with a date and a scope. Questions: hello@numerio.ai.
